Stacey Elston, Audiologist
Hello – I'm Stace, founding Audiologist at Darwin Ears & Hearing.
I have been an audiologist for ten years. After completing my Master’s degree in Audiology at Flinders University (South Australia), I came to the Territory as an intern; fresh faced, wide eyed, with a backpack of knowledge.
Through years of mixed practice in both urban and remote clinical settings of the top end, I developed a healthy respect for people of all ages, their ears, and our ability to hear what and who we love. With the impending arrival of my children, I placed remote work on hold and focused on working with folks in Darwin and the surrounding regions.
This work continues to fuel my clinical passion; I work collaboratively with clients to identify communication needs and from there formulate and facilitate a suitable path forward. I feel one of the most inspiring and privileged positions is to walk alongside someone in the process of change.
The Territory has given me equal amounts of challenges and rewards and allowed me the pleasure to meet and work with some really inspiring people. I am proud to say it is where my family and I now call home.
